Chasewater Country Park Staffordshire - West Midlands WS8 7 Chasewater Country Park is the greatest asset the area has to offer, with it's Lakes, woods and heath land . Being mostly flat makes it easy going for both walking and cycling. The National cycle Network route 5 passes through the Park. With easy access from Birmingham City centre and Walsall by route 5 or canal, traffic free all the way. From Wolverhampton along the canal to Chasewater dam. From Lichfield by NCN route 5, and from Aldridge along the canal to the dam. There are also long distance footpaths, including the Beacon Way, linking into Chasewater's own footpaths and cycle way Chasewater will hopefully be linked by National cycle Network route 5 to Cannock Chase in the near future. Most of the route will be traffic free. Planning consent has been obtained by sustrans for 50% of the route. When complete the new "Green Way" will link together Chasewater Country Park with Gentleshaw Common and Cannock Chase. National Cycle Network Route 5 Reading to Holyhead. Route 54 Wolverhampton to Lichfield - Derby
both routes will pass through chasewater country Park
(Please note, at present route 5 is signed from Chasewater Heaths to Dam street Lichfield. This section will be resigned to 54 when the Chasewater - Cannock chase route is built) . |

Chasewater Country Park's 360 hectares of water and open space host many leisure activities including water skiing, sailing, angling, and a steam railway. There are excellent bird watching, opportunities.
At the south shore entrance (off the A5 at Brownhills) and near M6 Toll junction is car parking, toilets and a children's play area.
The park provides a home for many birds and animals where the keen naturalist can find rare habitats to visit including Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).

Come along and see for your self.
Rides are free, everyone welcome. Grandad, Grandma, Mom, Dad, and children. Single male and female. Ladies can enjoy riding in the safety of the group.
